About

I'm a software developer based in London, Ontario, with about eight years of professional experience. For the last four, I've focused on integrations: writing custom code that moves employee, payroll, and benefits data between platforms for companies in North America, the UK, and Europe.

Before that I was a full-stack developer building web apps with Node.js, Angular, and MongoDB. That background shapes how I approach integrations: as software to design, test, and maintain, not configuration to click together.

Outside work I'm going deeper on the back end, with typed Java, SQL schema design, and Spring Boot.

Experience

Integration Developrt and Technical Consultant

Flexspring

  • Write and maintain production Groovy code for custom HR and payroll integrations, running in BPMN-based workflows.
  • Build API clients for REST and SOAP endpoints across more than a dozen HR, payroll, and identity platforms.
  • Built event-driven integrations that react to ADP event notifications and apply changes with correct effective dates.
  • Implemented change detection and delta extraction so downstream systems receive only what changed.
  • Translate benefits and payroll data between platforms, including rate changes, starts, and stops.
  • Troubleshoot pay data submissions and batch failures, working directly with clients through UAT and go-live.

Front-end Developer
